Getting Started

How do I register?

To register as a presenter, simply click the links saying ‘get started’, ‘try it out’ or ‘go for it’ and create an account, giving us your email address and a password. It costs nothing to do this and you can get started straight away. Audience members can simply navigate to the unique URL for the event or presentation you are attending, and enter your email address. No download or password required.

How much does it cost to use Glisser?

Glisser is completely free for audience members. For presenters and event planners, it’s free to get started with a version that will let you use most of the core features (slide-sharing, polls, Q&A, Twitter) for a limited audience size. Once you’re comfortable and want to use the full feature-set and access all of your audience data, it’s £10 or £20 per month for individual presenters (depending on the package you select) and starts at £500 per day for events, with ‘full service’ packages also available if you would like technical support before, during and after the event.

What Presenter devices does Glisser work on?

Glisser is presented from a regular laptop (PC or Mac) connected to the internet, working with all modern browsers (we prefer Chrome), presenting and sharing slides from the Glisser cloud. If you’d rather not have the main screen presenting from the cloud, you can mirror the slide the presenter is on via a separate laptop, which will share the slides with your audience.

Can I create my entire presentation on Glisser?

No - Glisser is designed to work in harmony with tried and tested content creation software - PowerPoint, Keynote, Google Slides, Haiku Deck - anything that can be saved as a PowerPoint or PDF file. You can save Prezi files as PDF, but you’ll lose the animated effects.

Once your content is uploaded to Glisser, you can perform some basic editing, as well as dropping in interactive features, polls and video. For example, you can delete individual slides, or drop new slides or entire slide decks into your existing presentation without exiting Glisser. This makes it quick and easy to do those inevitable last minute changes.
